We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join the Cafe Valley Team. The position will provide accounting support performing reconciliation, analysis, calculations, and assisting with month end close.  This position reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities

  • Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis as assigned
  • Assist with month-end close including preparation of accurate and timely financial statements
  • Review, reconcile, and analyze all general ledger accounts during the month end close including journal entries
  • Responsible for inventory review, analysis and audits
  • Provide daily/monthly cash management and reporting
  • Solid understanding of GAAP guidelines and the application of GAAP framework in accounting processes and procedures
  • Detail oriented, with ability to organize, prioritize, and work well independently or with others to meet all required deadlines
  • Assist with variety of audits including providing schedules, reports and information as requested
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, both internally & externally
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding skills in the use of Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Word
  • Team oriented
  • Highly motivated self- starter
  • Ability to document processes and procedures and assist with driving overall efficiencies
  • Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed
  • Ad hoc and other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 2-3 years of experience with solid understanding of GAAP guidelines and the application of GAAP framework in accounting processes and procedures
  • Manufacturing and ERP System experience, such as SysPro, preferred
  • Able to effectively work with senior management, customers and vendors.
  • At times, must be willing to be “hands-on” to accomplish the workload.
  • Must have a high degree of confidentiality and discretion. Must be able to work in a highly automated environment.
