Primarily responsible to provide excellent support to Plant Operations and excellent customer service to all associates and visitors. The Sanitation Lead for Café Valley Bakery is responsible for the cleaning of the building structure, production areas, packaging areas, janitorial, offices: that includes but not limited, floors, walls and ceilings, following a Master Cleaning schedule and procedures set forth by Sanitation Manager.
*Candidates must be available to work weekends as part of the regular schedule.
*Have experience leading and supervising people.

Responsibilities

Consistent and dependable attendance.
Ability to work with or around food allergens of all types.
Ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 6 hours without a break.
Ability to work weekends and flexible schedules as business needs demand.
Will need to be able to work around food allergens: milk, soy, eggs, and tree nuts.
Ability to work in confined spaces. (Spiral, oven area, freezer etc)
Must be able to wear/utilize personal protective equipment.
Knowledge on LOTO procedure (Lock out Tag out).
Responsible to follow up the Chemical Schedule with sanitation technicians to apply the chemical solutions properly.
Perform the Sanitation Operational check list on Red Zone (GMP’S Check List, Safety Procedures, and chemical concentrations.
Perform dry-cleaning procedure and wet cleaning procedure as needed.
Clean and sanitize product conveyors and assembling when indicated.
Clean and sanitize production-manufacturing equipment.
Responsible to follow Safety procedures, usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and Safety Policy.
Operate floor scrubber and scissor lift.
Perform related duties as needed by supervision. Participate in weekly inspections as part of a department team.
Complete Food safety work orders in a timely manner.
Helping to perform the Chemical Inventory and Janitorial supplies.
Assist in the interviewing and hiring of new sanitation staff.
Schedule of personnel.
SSOP and work instructions development and management.
Forklift and LOTO Certified.
Develop Master Cleaning Schedule and Manage schedule.
Pest control monitoring of program and special project management.
Completion of corrective actions and preventative actions due to sanitation issues.
Perform all other duties as assigned by Sanitation Manager.

Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma and/or experience of Food Manufacturing Plant (Bakery Process)
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer and Ipad Skills is needed.
Have experience leading and supervising people.
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
