Who You Are
The Maintenance Supervisor supports Café Valley’s Marion, ID plant by taking responsibility for all maintenance and engineering activities for the plant. This includes providing technical support for the maintenance team, continuous improvement opportunities, and preventative maintenance. The primary focus of this position is to maximize production time available on equipment, minimize upkeep costs, and control expenditures related to equipment, spare parts, and consumable items.

This position will work a 2-2-3 rotation schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Drive company goals and objectives through individually led projects and continuous improvement activities
  • Lead the department in achieving goals and objectives through day-to-day coordination of all maintenance activities
  • Lead and develop Maintenance Technicians
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC controlled, high speed production equipment for a safe and productive work environment
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up-time
  • Utilize computerized maintenance systems too accurately and thoroughly document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the course of the day
  • Search and issue parts, document equipment issues and enter inspection/measurement points
  • Reviews job orders to determine work priorities and schedules repairs, maintains, and installs machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations
  • Work with other departments to schedule repairs of equipment
  • Coordinate the efficient operation of all facilities necessary to manage the distribution and usage of all utilities & reduce costs
  • Handle all yearly evaluations, attendance, vacations, and all disciplinary reviews of maintenance personnel
  • Ensure staff follows & supports all GMPs, regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
  • Ability to work with or around food allergens of all types
  • HS Diploma, associate’s degree preferred
  • 5 years industrial maintenance experience
  • 3 years supervisory experience
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming experience
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience
  • English/Spanish bilingual, preferred
