The Human Resources Generalist for Café Valley will recruit for exempt and non-exempt level positions, employee and labor relations, job evaluations, benefit administration, organization development, training, affirmative action, HRIS and special projects. This position provides input and assists in the development of policies and procedures and is responsible to ensure consistent application of all policies and procedures within the supported business unit.

Complete Payroll adjustments and forward to Payroll Manager.
Maintain Internal Job Bid Process; schedule interviews, conduct assessments, conduct interviews.
Receive and enforce the GMP’s for all people entering Café Valley including all visitors, applicants, government officials, drivers, salespeople, etc.
Maintain, track, and communicate with uniform vendor.
Record and administrate FMLA/leaves, keep up to date with EEOC publishing’s and decisions.
Track and manage new hire database and participate in new hire orientation.
Conduct weekly reports and assist with department decision based upon results.
Maintain recruiting/hiring process with applicants/temps; interview, schedule/complete background/drug screens, schedule orientation, conduct orientation, place in position, and enter all data in ADP. Maintain all application files and personnel files including New Hire folders, terminations, I-9’s, payroll status change forms, vacation request forms, etc. in a timely and confidential manner.
Provide a supportive, welcoming, and informative environment for all team members and visitors; answering questions, contacting appropriate Dept heads and directing vendor/visitor where to go.
Investigate employee disputes/complaints and policy violations.
Communicate with Department heads/Management any pertinent information regarding team members, staffing, investigations, production needs, issues, investigations, and terminations or disciplines.
Administer any data entry regarding transfers, terminations, promotions and deliver team member paperwork to payroll daily.
Assist with performance reviews and ensures the development and implementation of specific development plans to address performance issues.
Ensures compliance with state and federal laws through efficient administration of company HR policies, procedures, programs and initiatives.
Assist with team member communication programs including administering and tracking New-Hire introductions, NH surveys, etc.
Liaise with external employment agencies with respect to short-term manpower needs, review invoices, etc.
Managing and overseeing the performance review and merit increase process
Administer the Trip Reduction Program in accordance with county requirements. Conduct raffles, announcements, entry forms, surveys, programs, etc.
Assist departments in carrying out all various human resources programs and procedures for all company team members including the Safety Program, Benefits, and Administrative support to Human Resources Manager or any other member of Management as required/needed.
Coordinate/participate in morale building programs such as the Holiday Party, contest, events or communications as needed.
Attend in house/community HR meetings representing Café Valley.
Work with recruiters to fill temp slots as staffing needs require.
- Develop and/or modify job descriptions based on companies need.
- Enter and maintain accurate employee information into ADP database systems including but not limited to; new hires, benefits, payroll information, direct deposits, deductions, data changes, and terminations
- Audit employee files regularly
- Administers the Trip Reduction Program
- Ensure all pre-employment documentation and background reports have been completed
- Assists with the development of Human Resources policies for the company with regard to employee relations.
- Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
- Advises managers and supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline system of the company. Counsels managers on employment issues.
- Provides payroll processing backup support. Partners with accounting and payroll to maintain the payroll database.
- Complies with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and so forth. Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits.
