The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing excellent support to the Human Resources Depart and excellent customer service to all team members and visitors. The Human Resources Assistant for Café Valley is entry level Human Resource position and will assist the HR department with most facets of daily work.

Responsibilities

Consistent and dependable attendance.
Ability to work weekends and flexible schedules as business needs demand.
Ability to work with or around food allergens of all types.Cover front window/door to assist/answer all visitor/team members with professionalism.
File all paperwork as needed.
Cross train within department to ensure coverage of coworkers on time off.
Track and facilitate Lead Training.
Track and log discipline writeups and ensure retraining is complete.
Enforce the GMP’s for all people entering Café Valley including all visitors, applicants, government officials, drivers, salespeople, etc.
Provide a supportive, welcoming, and informative environment for all team members and visitors.
Support’s hiring efforts including answering applicants questions, facilitating New Hire orientations and complete all New Hire paperwork; maintain all application files and personnel files including New Hire folders, terminations, I-9’s, payroll status change forms, vacation request forms, etc. in a timely and confidential manner.
Assist with maintaining HRO system including inputting information in a timely manner.
Maintains all supplies including paper, toner, copies of all forms and information booklets.
Receiving and giving messages to supervisors and production management.
Update bulletin boards or communication centers (Strand Vision) as needed. Assist with any other communication efforts as needed.
Participate with job fairs as staffing needs require.
All other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Adequate in MS Software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
0-1 years Human Resource experience
High school diploma or GED
Basic office equipment knowledge
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Being professional and treating everyone with respect.
Talking to others and convey information effectively and professionally.
Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Managing one’s own time effectively to complete all necessary daily tasks.
